Please Don't Take The Baby To The Liquor Store - Reverend Horton Heat
from the album Laughin' and Cryin' with Reverend Horton Heat (2010)
I'm back in Seattle. Last time thru, I caught a RHH show at El Corazon. The club was sweaty and packed. My lady friend and I danced our psychobilly butts off. The band played new material and I've been listening to this song ever since. I love the lyrical images. "Please don't take the baby to the liquor store, it's not that kind of bottle he's been cryin' for", "Don't need tequila candy with a worm inside", and "Crown Royal bags aren't mittens on a cold winter's day" are my favorites. Check it out. You'll grin like a rodeo clown.
